Welcome

 Dear Fellow Nurse Leader,

The title of the 2011 PONL Symposium, Nursing Leadership: Advocates
for Healthy Communities, reflects the newly approved PONL Mission
Statement and its emphasis on the role that nursing leaders play in
shaping the health of our communities.

Once again, the hardworking members of our Symposium Planning
Committee have outdone themselves in capturing a slate of nationally
known speakers who will address issues that impact our organizational
lives both now and in the future. Their topics are challenging, insightful
and thought provoking.

Our initiation into poster sessions last year was hugely popular. Look
for an expanded number of posters to be on display at Symposium
2011. We will have a variety of exhibitors, sponsors, booths and product
demonstrations open during breaks and ample time will be allotted for you to explore.  The PONL Symposium Fund Raising Committee has planned a variety of unique and fun ways for you to financially support PONL and do your holiday shopping at the same time. The Networking Reception held on Thursday evening provides you with an opportunity to kick back, catch up with old friends, and make new ones.

If you aren’t a PONL member I encourage you to consider joining
us. In addition to educational programs and networking, the Practice
& Legislation Committee’s work during this past year and PONL’s
involvement with legislative imperatives at both the state and federal
levels provides the voice of nursing leadership in Pennsylvania. Your
PONL membership fee also includes regional membership- a value added
to YOU and your professional voice.

Don’t miss the exciting opportunities offered in the 2011 PONL Annual
Symposium. See you in Harrisburg October 26th and 27th!!

Sincerely,

Natalie Heilig-Troup
